It’s that time of year again. The primary fundraiser that the Meigs PTO uses to help fund our school’s needs and some extras.
Did you know that Meigs families provide funding for critical resources for our students and teachers? It’s true! Each year, our families make donations to the Meigs PTO’s INVEST campaign [INSERT HYPERLINK] that are used to provide our school with important resources such as:
- Additional instructional materials and equipment such as updates to the computer lab
- Library resources including technology updates
- Materials for science experiments including frog dissection and rocket building
- Instrument repair for band and strings
- Support for clubs and athletics including jerseys, equipment, and banners
- Resources for the Meigs garden and outdoor classroom
- Supplies for music, art, drama, and computer classes
- Enhancements to the gymnasium including a new projector and equipment upgrades
- Support for our teachers including teachers’ lounge enhancements
- And so much more!
In order to continue providing this high level of support, our goal is to raise $50,000 by October 8, which is approximately $75 per student. Donations last year ranged from $10 to $1,500 – every amount makes a difference!
Over the next month, we’ll keep you updated on our progress, and we’ll be announcing fun participation incentives.

Don’t forget, the Meigs PTO is a registered nonprofit and all donations are tax deductible. Anyone can make a donation to the Meigs PTO, so please share this information with family, friends, and neighbors who want to support our school.
